Why eat broccoli? Broccoli is a great source of calcium, potassium, folate and fiber. It also contains plant compounds called phytonutrients that may help prevent chronic conditions such as heart disease, diabetes and some cancers.
Broccoli even provides the antioxidants vitamins A and C that protect your body’s cells from damage. Try it cooked, steamed or raw. You can even sneak it into pasta, salads and casseroles.
